Mandate for LUAAS - Leeds University Alumni Association Singapore

The following mandate describes the inception of LUAAS and the benefits to perspective members. It details the aims and principles of the society.

The Association

The Leeds Alumni Association in Singapore has been formally registered as a Society.
Official name: Leeds University Alumni Association (Singapore)
Place of Business: 21 Guan Soon Avenue, Singapore, 489599

Many may not be aware that the movement behind the formation of LUAAS dates back many years when graduates from Leeds living and working in Singapore came together to form a small working committee. They had a common purpose – to lay a foundation and pave the way for the creation of a common identity for all graduates. The efforts and time contributed by these individuals over the years are, needless to say, commendable. The fruit of their labour is a budding LUAAS.

Objectives of LUAAS

  • To establish and maintain a local forum amongst members across years and disciplines of the Society residing or employed in Singapore and between the Society and other Leeds alumni wherever situated.
  • To promote and stimulate local interest in the University of Leeds and its activities.
  • To give information, advice and assistance to new and potential members of the Society as well as to prospective students of the University of Leeds.

Membership

Membership forms may be obtained from any of the committee members. There is a one-time registration fee of $10.
