If you work in print or broadcast journalism, tv or film production, radio, photography, digital media or an associated area, join us for the 13th annual reception for Leeds alumni that work in the media industries. As always, it will be a great chance to meet up with friends and build new connections in a relaxed and informal gathering.

This year, we're delighted to welcome Leeds alumnus Diederick Santer (History of Social Thought and Psychology) as our guest speaker.

Diederick grew up obsessed by television. Whether it was Doctor Who, The Professionals, or all three hours of Swap Shop on a Saturday morning, he never missed a moment of his favourite shows. When he eventually got to work on making television, it was a dream come true. In this talk he reflects on his 20+ years in TV, thinks about the medium’s purpose, about how it should reflect and represent its audience, and looks ahead at the rapidly changing TV landscape.
