The limited subscriptions for Leeds graduates will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Here, we take you through all you need to know to get started.

What is it?

LinkedIn Learning is on an online learning platform providing 15,000 self-paced learning courses covering a diverse range of topics. There are three main areas covered – Technology, Creative and Business – through a range of training sessions, classes, and lectures.

Type it into the search bar, and LinkedIn Learning is likely to have it. But to save you some time, we’ve curated the following courses to help get you going:

Why sign up?

This is a great opportunity for you to pick up invaluable skills and advice whenever and wherever suits you, at no extra cost to yourselves. In a competitive job market, amongst other things, LinkedIn Learning will give you:

  • Expertise: the courses are generated and delivered by real-world industry experts.
  • Industry edge: the website is constantly being updated to align with industry trends, covering emerging technologies and ideas. That little nugget of contemporary knowledge could give you the edge over other job candidates.
  • Upskilling opportunities: you never know what new skills might help you to land a new role.
  • LinkedIn integration: You can add completed training courses to your LinkedIn profile, meaning that a good profile (with academic achievements, work experience and extra-curricular bits) can become an outstanding profile.
  • Personalisation: the more you use it, the more useful it’ll become. A bit like Spotify or Netflix, LinkedIn Learning will suggest courses based on your activity and interests and make tailored recommendations for courses.
